Comedy Duo

I shot portraits of Jerome Sable and Eli Batalion for their website
sableandbatalion.com. We had a blast creating the absurd with the two comedy masterminds behind the short film "The Legend of Beaver Dam."

Bodie

Got a chance to spend some time in the ghost town, Bodie. Good camera food.

Mammoth Lakes

We arrived in Mammoth Lakes late in the day. Great colors across the golf course.

We ended our first day with a walk around Twin Lakes

Row boats enjoying the view

Duck gets ready to call it a day

This is not some dude in a mascot suit. This a real friggin' BEAR! She walked by VERY close, feeding on dead fish at the shoreline. Very exciting to see.

We spent our second day exploring Rock Creek Canyon. I found good light on one of the many lakes

Thanks to Dave and Cindy for being amazing hosts. It was a perfect place to celebrate with my Queen

Summer R.I.P.

As fall is fast approaching, I had this idea of creating a photo that represents the last hurrah of summer. Inspired by the final shot of "Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid" I pictured myself on the losing end of a water balloon fight with some unseen neighborhood kids. Thanks to Donna for her fast camera trigger, Ed Kennedy for his water balloon aim and Max Miceli for his layout work.

Art From The Ashes Exhibition

This Saturday night I'm exhibiting two abstract photos at the
Art From The Ashes exhibit in Glendale. With over 50 other talented artists showcasing their pieces it looks to be a successful fundraising event to benefit the Deukmejian Wilderness Park. The Station Fire last year caused considerable damage, with the money raised there is hope the park will be restored again for public use.
Each artist has used items or inspiration from the burned area to create original art. Below is a sneak peek at one of my pieces. I found a burned and rusted bracket, froze it in a sheet of ice and photographed it. The end result was an interesting organic quality I did not expect. Bubbles formed, rust colored the water... I think I'll have to shoot more like this. Come by and see it yourself.

Bartel Shoot

I wrapped a week of shooting the David Bartel collection at the Academy's off site storage in beautiful downtown Saugus. This project has given me the opportunity to photograph some of the rarest motion picture projectors around. Below are a few samples.

Big Mouth

Sometimes, with camera in hand you find yourself at the right place at the right time. There is no way I could ever recreate this shot of Gabriel's yawn, unless I start switching his Friskies with Ambien.
